Take Action Houston: Policies and Barriers Affecting Civic Participation in Houston and Texas

Commissioned by Houston Endowment, the Take Action Houston report(opens in new window), a project of Houston in Action, assesses systemic barriers and opportunities for civic engagement in Harris County, examining both political and social arenas of civic action. A joint research effort of University of Houston, Rice University, and Texas Southern University, the report aims to frame discussions with community residents, leaders, and local policymakers about how to address specific barriers to civic participation in Harris County in order to strengthen and improve the civic health of Greater Houston.
