Miguel Rivera
Miguel serves as a Program Officer for the Civic Engagement team. In this role, he oversees the Foundation’s strategies to increase electoral participation in the Greater Houston area.
He has spent the past five years working to increase voter engagement. Prior to joining Houston Endowment, he served as Senior Advocacy Manager at the Texas Civil Rights Project and oversaw their strategy in the Voting Rights program. While there, he created and led a statewide advocacy campaign to engage Texans in the decennial redistricting process, worked with multiple county elections offices to enact reforms that increase voter participation, and represented the organization in statewide and national coalitions. Miguel has served on the Steering Committee for Houston In Action since 2021.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Texas at Austin.
