Rid Bhuiyan
Rid works with the Civic Engagement team to support the Foundation’s strategies in Electoral Participation and Immigrant Civic Integration.
He has worked with advocacy and political organizations across the south. Prior to joining the Houston Endowment, he worked with Compassion and Choices to advocate for end-of-life care legislation. There, he led advocacy campaigns and statewide policy efforts across five southwest states. He also worked with their Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Leadership Council to increase access to culturally competent resources for the AANHPI community. He brings much insight on electoral participation and grassroots organizing having served in a number of positions across presidential, congressional, and state campaigns.
Rid holds a Bachelor of Arts in international studies from the University of South Florida.
