A Profile of Immigration in Houston, the Nation’s Most Diverse Metropolitan Area

Houston is the most diverse and rapidly growing of the major U.S. metropolitan areas, with no majority racial or ethnic group. Immigrants from around the world are an important driver of that growth and diversity. This report, jointly funded by Houston Endowment and the Simmons Foundation, provides detailed demographics on the immigrant population in Houston, including data on country of origin, education attainment, income levels and rates of naturalization. The report concludes with possible implications for immigrant service providers.
