Higher Education Outcomes: Tracking Texas 8th Graders’ Post-Secondary Success

Data that reports the education outcomes of every student who started 8th grade in a Texas public school during eight academic years is available through an interactive explorer from The Texas Tribune. Supported by funding from Houston Endowment, data from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Texas Education Agency is used to track students who started in 8th grade between 1996 and 2003 to determine the percentage of 8th graders who earned a post-secondary certificate or degree from a Texas college or university within six years of their expected high school graduation date.
