Effective Jan.1, 2026, Arshad Matin will begin a two-year term as Chair of the Houston Endowment Board of Directors. He has served as a Director since 2018.

“As a member of the board, I’ve witnessed the tremendous positive impact Houston Endowment has on the community,” said Matin. “I’m honored to serve in this new role and will continue to help guide the Foundation to further its mission of providing opportunity for all who live here.”

Matin is president and CEO of Avetta, one of the world leaders in providing cloud-based supply chain risk management solutions. He has over 25 years of experience in the software industry and in software-enabled businesses. His appointment comes as current Board Chair Melanie Trent concludes her two-year term. Trent will continue to serve as a director.

Additional Houston Endowment leaders Tony Chase and Phil Ferguson, will retire from the Board of Directors and Investment Committee, respectively, at the end of the year following 12 years of service to the Foundation.
